The wonderful Des Manahan in the performance that he later told us all was his final performance on stage. Des plays Gus the Theatre Cat in the South Eastern Theatre Groups ‘Cats’. Well worth a look – Des is simply wonderful in the part.

The glorious opening to Act 2 from ‘Phantom’ is Masquerade. Here is the 2014 production from the Waterford based ‘South Eastern Theatre Group’. It is a stunning piece.

One of my favourite parts of ‘The Phantom Of The Opera’ is the ‘Notes/Prima Donna’ sequence – which was so wonderfully delivered in todays video back in 2014 by an amazingly talented cast of so called ‘juniors’. I say so-called as they would put many a seasoned performer to shame. Enjoy!

Back to 2013 today and the epic ‘This Is The Hour’ from the South Eastern Theatre Groups production of ‘Miss Saigon’. One of my personal favourite musicals. Featuring Holly Ryan as Kim and Josh Hurley as Thuy.

Billy McCathy featured the stunning win by the South Eastern Theatre Group on Deise AM, May 13th 2012. Also joining him is Liam Murphy of the Munster Express.

The South Eastern Theatre Group staged the Irish amateur premier of ‘Miss Saigon’. This documentary follows it from script to stage and examines the behind the scenes talk areas that we so seldom see and hear. Produced and edited by Wayne Brown, Narration by Nichola Beresford – it was first broadcast on WLRFM in December 2013.
