Stolen Time Livestream – Some of the Cast and Crew discuss. (Audio)

It was with enormous disappointment that Waterford Youth Arts announced that outdoor theatre event STOLEN TIME at Wyse Park wass now cancelled, in light of recently revised public health restrictions. The outdoor theatre spectacle was to run for six nights of performance at Wyse Park, Johns Lane, Waterford as a ticketed event from Aug 25th – 29th. The six-night run was sold out.

‘It comes as a massive disappointment to all the young people involved, having worked together so hard over the last six weeks, to the crew, to audiences and to us as a production company’, commented Ollie Breslin of Waterford Youth Arts’. ‘But the safety of young people, crew, artists and audiences is paramount’.

‘We are knocked down, but we are not out’ said Ollie Breslin. ‘The show must go on, the cast has worked so incredibly hard, we want audiences to see what we have created’

The production has now being reimagined for the theatre at Garter Lane Arts Centre where it will be live streamed over virtual platforms on Thursday 27th August at 9pm.

Stolen Time involves 23 young people from the city and environs in what was to be an outdoor theatre spectacle. Waterford Youth Arts and co-producers Garter Lane Arts Centre designed the show for Wyse Park with the full support of Waterford City and County Council.

Here all about it here as some of the cast and crew spoke to Maria McCann on Deise Today about the upcoming stream.
